Wednesday, March 11th and Thursday, March 12th 10th Literature
Standard 1, 2, 3 New seating chart! Go over grammar from last class. Switch papers with the person next to you and initial the bottom of the page. Mark each one that is wrong and circle the right answer. Write the number right at the top of the first page. Persepolis: Turn in the worksheet from last class. Speeches – I will take volunteers and then we are going in reverse alphabetical order Vocabulary: Write one sentence for each word and label what part of speech it is. For example: #1: I have animosity (noun) towards Hitler for the things he did. Read to page 39 by next class. Complete the Double Journal Entry handout while you read.

Vocabulary Practice Write a sentence using each of the words in unit 8. Underline the word and identify the part of speech each word can be used as. There are only three parts of speech you need to know for this unit. Adjective – modifies a noun Ex. The hairy man is gross. Hairy modifies man. Noun – a person, place, thing, or idea. Verb – the action
