Child Abuse Causes a much higher level of psychological disturbance such as violence, depression, and drug abuse. Children abused at a young age had a higher chance to develop mental problems as well as acquire habits such as smoking and drug abuse. Abused children have a 1.75 times higher chance of developing PTSD than non-abused children. Sources: Takayama, Wolfe, and Coulter, 1998

PTSD Caused by traumatic events that trigger feelings of intense horror or fear. Symptoms usually include, but are not limited to, withdrawal from social settings and unprovoked outbursts of anger and violence.
4
Inferiority Complex The development of PTSD in abused children also increases their chances of developing an inferiority complex. Feelings that others are better, smarter, or more advanced than you and you are unable to compensate by excelling in another area.

Treatment Psychiatric medication
Psychotherapy: The goal of therapy is to move the victim through the grieving process so that they can move on with their life. PTSD victims are often stuck in one stage after their traumatic event, leaving them in a mild state of shock, which is what leads to their social withdrawal as well as their violent outbursts.
