Question-Will saliva dissolve a peppermint more quickly than water?

4. The Scientific Method Hypothesis- You predict what
you think the answer to your question might be.
Example- If peppermints are placed in water and saliva, then the water will make it dissolve faster.

6. The Scientific Method Procedure – Steps of experiment:
Measure the width of the peppermint while still in the wrapper. Record your number and observations on the data chart.
2. Remove two peppermints from wrapper and place one in mouth and second one in a cup of water for three minutes. (Do not chew or “swish” the one in mouth.)
3. Place the peppermint back in the wrapper to measure the width.
4. Record data and observations.
5. Repeat steps #1-#3 twice.
