Structuring a presentation
Remember 3 important parts of most presentation (formal and many informal): Tell the audience what you’re going to say = Introduction say it! = Main Part Tell them what you said ! = conclusion There are several ways you can tell audience what you are going to say: Would like + infinitive today i’d like to tell you about . . . Going to + infinitive i’m going to talk to you about Will + infinitive i’ll begin by explaining today’s topic . . . i’ll start off by reviewing our latest data . . . Will be + verb –ing today i’ll be talking about

How to do well on your presentation? (Reduce nervousness)
Prepare well Learn to relax and be confident (Body language) Check out the room (props such as microphone, video projector, etc) Know your audience (address them and maintain eye contact) Concentrate on the topic / message (to the point) Visualize success Understand necessary grammar needed
