Multiculturalism vs Melting Pot
The dominant culture absorbs the other cultures. The less dominant cultures adopt the culture of the dominant group. Therefore smaller cultures lose their cultural identity Soup - Veggies cut up and cooked together blended - Don’t really taste the individuals ingredients Multiculturalism Culture groups retain much of what is important to their culture, at the same time; they adopt aspects of the dominant culture Salad Can still taste each individual part of salad

Where Immigrants Live in Canada
94% of Immigrants live in just 4 provinces: Ontario, British Columbia, Quebec and Alberta Ontario and British Columbia are above the National Average of Immigrants in their population 2/3 of the immigrants to Canada chose to live in Toronto, Vancouver and Montreal Theses cities have large populations of various cultural groups that can support stores, religious and cultural organizations
