3. Portal Background
Was developed to assist Counties in complying with increased (and changing) NYS PSSHSP billing requirements
Portal is a place where we can collect as many compliance requirements as possible
Followed Handbook 8 (the most current guidance document at the time) to include the many pieces of documentation required.
We continue to monitor NYS for changes (example- now in Handbook 9)

4. Portal Background
The county then uploads all of the information collected in the Portal into their billing system where more edits are in place to ensure compliance for both County requirements and NYS PSSHSP requirements.

8. Credential Verification
All providers licensed through the New York State Office of the Professions (Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists, Licensed Clinical Social Workers, etc.) as well as non-licensed professionals that work under the direction of an SLP for speech therapy services (TSHH, TSSLD, etc.) will need to have their credentials verified.
Verification means a person (the therapist or agency staff) will need to review what is on file for their credentials, verify it is correct and provide an attestation that it is correct. The credential information that needs verification includes name, NPI and license information (number, issue date and renewal date)
