4 Process Secure all necessary approvals and permits prior to construction

5 Zoning Local Zoning Approval County Township City Location Use/Function Size

6 Permitting Stormwater Permit Construction Activity Permit for areas of 1 or more acres Application received 7 days prior to construction Permit terminated upon completion of construction and site is stabilized

7 Wastewater – Direct Discharge Direct Discharge Requires a NPDES Permit Continuous vs. Intermittent discharge Application Submitted 60 days prior to construction 30 day public comment period may be required Plans and Specifications submitted for approval

8 Wastewater – Temporary Onsite Storage Plans for storage structures submitted for review Licensed Septic Tank Pumpers/Haulers Location/Destination of waste disposal Signed Agreement Contingency/back up plan

9 Wastewater – Total Containment Zero Discharge Plan and Specifications Reviewed prior to construction (Design- Capacity etc…)

10 Wastewater – Septic Tanks/Drainfields Local Health Unit may set permitting/siting requirements State Plumbing Code/Local Health Standards Plans and Specifications Review by State and/or Local Health Unit 20 or more people served – Regulated under NDAC 33-25-01 Underground Injection Well

11 Solid Waste Storage – Transport – Disposal NDCC 23-29 NDAC 33-20 Transported by Permitted Waste Hauler

12 Drinking Water Compliance with SDWA NDCC Chapter 61-28.1 NDAC Article 33-17 15 Service Connections or regularly serves 25 individuals 60 or more days out of the year Plans and Specifications must be submitted for review and approval (Prior to Construction) Approved Water Haulers Required

13 Wastewater Indirect Discharge City or owner of treatment works regulates and is responsible for discharges General Prohibitions by owner of treatment works Document agreement between Camp and accepting treatment works Department of Health review may be required (Capacity – ability to meet standards)
