This sounds awkward!!!
I sat at the table and ate the cookies. (correct)
I sit at the table and eat the cookies. (correct)

3. Usage Stay in one tense when writing Correct Options:
When writing ABOUT literature, remain in PRESENT tense!
Correct Options:
Peyton was disappointed his crush did not call him over winter break.
He moved on and spent a lot of time with his dog and his stuffed animals.
