5 DATA KEEPING VARIETIES
When I look at my measurable goals, what type of data do I need to measure the progress? Frequency: Tally counters, tally marks (on a paper, clipboard or even the whiteboard), apps Duration : Stopwatch, timer, start/end time, apps Accuracy: Yes/No data, # presentations vs. # successes, opportunities vs. completion/attempts Good data should be able to be tracked or graphed. Frequency, Duration and Accuracy data collection is easily translatable to a graph.

Based on the type of goal: BEHAVIOR GOALS: every day ACADEMIC GOALS: Varies based upon the age and the intensity of the goal One goal per day Math each day of the week One academic goal once a week Example: Math on Mondays IDENTIFY A “DATA DAY” Find a day of the week when you make sure to transfer and update the data
