2. Force Force = push or a pull exerted (applied) on an object.
Forces have magnitude (strength).
Forces are exerted in a certain direction.

3. Net Force
Net force = combined overall force an object feels when more than one force is acting on it.

4. Net Force Example
Neo has a number of forces acting on him including the agents and gravity.
The net force is result of all the forces acting on him.

5. Balanced Force
Balanced force = equal forces are acting on obj in opposite directions.
The forces cancel each other out.
Net force is 0 and motion does not change.

6. Unbalanced Force Forces acting on an object are not going to be equal.
One force will be > than the other.
The obj. will change it’s motion by accl.
There will be a net force.

7. Unbalanced Force
In a game of tug of war, one team pulls with greater force than the other.
There is a change of motion as both teams accelerate toward the stronger team.

8. Finding Net Force
When 2 or more forces act in the same direction, add their magnitudes.
When forces act in opposite direction, they are subtracted from one another.
Direction is the same as the direction of the greater force.
