1 molding bread By Bailey Timmons

2 Scientific question Under what conditions does mold grow best??

3 Background Why I picked the topic molding bread would be because,i wanted to test if mold would grow best in a baggey with water in it.Also i wanted to test bread in a baggey in a window seal. And the last testment i wanted to test would be in a close cabinet..

4 Hypothesis My hypothesis would be If I place a slice of bread in a close cabinet, then will it mold faster?

5 Variables My variables is the three independent would be the three conditions. The dependent variable would be mold growth. And finally the constants variable would be bread, mold, and three grams of water.

6 Procedure Take a slice of bread put it in a baggey leave it open in a window seal. Take a slice of bread put it in a baggey and leave it open and put in in a close cabient. Take a baggey that has bread in it and put three grams of water in it. Take a slice of bread and put it on top of the baggey. And finally how i will test it would be give it a couple days and see if theres any mold.

7 Data

8 Data Day 1 Day 2 Day 3 Day 4 Day 5 Day 6 Day 7 Day 8 Day 9 Day 10
0 mold o mold

9 conclusion my question will be under what conditions will mold grow best? My experiment will be testing when you put bread in a baggey with water or without water which one would mold the fastest.Day one there was no mold Day two there was no mold Day three there was no mold Day four no mold Day five there was no mold

10 conclusion Day six there was no mold Day seven there was no mold Day eight there was no mold Day nine there was no mold and finally Day 10 no mold. My data does support my hypothesis because I put the bread in baggeys and then i put them in different areas to see which one would mold faster. What i learned from this project would be that different breads could take alonger period to grow mold on it..

11 Conclusion What i learned from this project would be that different breads could take alonger period to grow mold on it.The errors that occurred on it would be that when we noticed that in seven days there was no mold at all..What problem i had with the lab would be that i kinda added alittle more water and we shouldnt of added alot to it..
