3 Review of S.M.A.R.T. Goals What is a goal?
What makes a goal S.M.A.R.T.? Give an example of a S.M.A.R.T. goal? What are the benefits of setting goals? What is a common reason that a goal fails?

4 Review of S.M.A.R.T. Goals Specific - What exactly do you want to achieve? Measurable - How will you know when you’ve reached your goal? Achievable - Is this a goal that you can attain? Realistic - Is it possible to achieve this goal? Time-Based - When will you achieve your goal?

5 Goals & Change Change and goals go hand in hand. Think of something you would like to change about yourself either physically or socially. For instance, saving more money, losing weight, becoming more active, improving grades. All of these changes would result in setting goals.

6 Now It’s Your Turn! Create 3 “S.M.A.R.T.” Goals! - Educational - Improve or maintain good grades; GPA - Social - Join clubs, meet new people or eliminate negative people/vibes - Physical - More/less active, exercise or improve sports performance Students can use the same process they used in the Goals & Change exercise If students finish early - they can write a career goal

7 Partner Review Have a partner read your goals.
Make sure that each goal fits each part of a S.M.A.R.T. goal.
