M&M’s Experiment By: Steve Hale

Hypothesis: M&M’s does not play favorites and will have the same amount of each color per bag.

Materials 4 bags of M&M’s 24 bowls Pen and paper for recording

Procedure Arrange bowls in 4 rows of 6 Open bag of M&M’s
Place each piece into its corresponding bowl Repeat for remaining bags Count and record findings

Results

Conclusion After performing this experiment I found that the amount of each color in an M&M’s bag is not the same. After performing the experiment on 4 bags I was able to conclude that BLUE was the color that appeared the most followed by ORANGE. The colors that appeared the least were YELLOW and BROWN. These findings show that my initial hypothesis was incorrect.
