Strategic Priorities in line with the GPW

Target: Zero TB-affected families facing catastrophic costs due to TB

World Health Organization, Stop TB Partnership, global fund Joint Initiative Commitments→ Accountable actions to accelerate access→ Measurable Progress Aim: To create an immediate push to urgently translate commitments into action, close the gaps in reaching the missing people with TB, WHO, Stop TB Partnership and Global Fund have launched a joint initiative.

PRIORITIES FOR ACTION TO END TB
Ensure diagnosis and quality care for the “missed” people with TB Address MDR-TB as a crisis Increase financing to close resource gaps Intensify research and ensure rapid uptake of innovations Address TB within universal health coverage, social protection and poverty agendas Accelerate response to TB/HIV Strengthen engagement with the community and civil society Respect equity, ethics and human rights and address stigma We need the power of parliamentarians to: Secure highest level political commitment to implement our priorities for action Help countries translate commitments into action Advocate for multisectoral approaches in countries to end TB Strengthen collaboration and action by partners and stakeholders Build accountability.
