Microscope-an object that magnifies: examples- ______________

Compound Microscope(what we use)- has two or more lenses
Magnification-how large an object is
Resolution-how focused(clear) the object is

3. Microscope Care
Always carry with 2 hands, one hand under the base and one hand on the arm
Some microscopes may have a mirror as the light source. Do not aim the mirror directly at the sun
Keep objects clear of desk and cords.

4. Calculating Magnification
Multiply the magnification of the lenses together.
