3. Reactants and Products
Reactants are what goes into the chemical reaction
Reactants = what is reacting in the reaction. RE-ACT-ING : RE-ACT-ANT, Pretty self explanatory.
Products are what comes out of the chemical reaction
Products = what is produced in the reaction, more self explanatory

4. Coefficients and Subscripts
Coefficients tell how many of that element of molecule there are in the chemical equation
Subscripts tell how many of that element are in that molecule

5. Chemical Equations + plus signs separate molecules
- Tell you how many of that molecule are present on that side of the reaction
Subscripts - tell you how many atoms of that element are present in the molecule
+ plus signs separate molecules

8. The Law of Conservation of Matter (Mass)
Matter cannot be created or destroyed, it only changes forms. Thus, the number of atoms of each type and total mass MUST be the same before and after any chemical reaction.

Numbers on both sides of the = sign must be equal. ‘s Are = of chemical reactions 2 +2 = 4 It just does! = 5 Just doesn’t make any sense! Same thing applies to mass and atom # in chemical reactions
