Putting Allergy injections

2. Why I Do This… My little sister has allergies to certain things such as, Dogs, Pecan Trees, Mesquite plants, Dust Mites, and more. The treatment is so the allergies could eventually diminish in severity.

3. Supplies: Alcohol pads, medicine container, ShotBlocker, Waste container, and Syringes.

4. Step 1: Wash hands

5. Step 2: Check if syringe is working.
Pull and push plunger for about 3 times

6. Step 3: With an alcohol wipe, clean the top of the medicine.

7. Step 4: Insert syringe needle into the medicine

8. Step 5: Pull back on plunger and measure the right amount of medicine

9. Step 6: With an alcohol pad clean the back of the arm, the site of the injection.

10. This is a ShotBlocker
This is totally optional but I prefer using it because it helps the injection become less painful.

11. Step 7: Use the ShotBlocker and place it on the area that was just wiped with the alcohol pad.

12. Step 8: In a 90˚ angle insert the needle of the syringe while pressing the ShotBlocker firmly against the arm.

13. Step 9: With your index finger and your middle finger pull back on plunger to check if your clear from any blood.

14. Step 10: Gently press down plunger with your index finger.

15. Step 11: Dispose syringes into a waste container.
