Step 5: Pull back on plunger and measure the right amount of medicine
Step 5: Pull back on plunger and measure the right amount of medicine. In this case I measured 40mL
9
Step 6: With an alcohol pad clean the back of the arm, the site of the injection.
10
This is a ShotBlocker This is totally optional but I prefer using it because it helps the injection become less painful.
11
Step 7: Use the ShotBlocker and place it on the area that was just wiped with the alcohol pad.
12
Step 8: In a 90˚ angle insert the needle of the syringe while pressing the ShotBlocker firmly against the arm.

Step 9: With your index finger and your middle finger pull back on plunger to check if your clear from any blood.
14
Step 10: Gently press down plunger with your index finger.
