Scientific Question How much more space will the biggest car take up than the smallest car?

Back Ground One reason I chose this topic is because I wanted to know what car can make the water rise the highest.Also I picked it because it sounded interesting.I also picked it because

My Hypothesis If I put the van in the water then the water might rise highest.

Variables 1.Independent:What I am changing is the car that I’m putting in the water. 2.Dependent:I am measuring how far the water went after dropping each car. 3.Controls:What I am keeping the same is the amount of water.Also how I’m measuring how much space the cars are taking up.How much time the car will be in the water.

Procedure 1.Fill graduated cylinder with water.
2.Put in the smallest car to the biggest car. 3.Measure how much space each car takes up. 4.Do how high the water was putting the car in minus how much water there was before. 5.Write how much space they took up. 6.Put up all materials and see which one took up the most space.

Conclusion part 1 1.The problem I had was measuring the water after the car was in it. 2.In my experiment I put each car in the water and mearured how high the water went after each car was in it. 3.The car took up 3ml my truck took up 7ml and my van took up 6ml.

Conclusion part 2 4.My hypothesis was that if the van went in the water then the water would rise the highest but the truck made the water go the highest and the data did not support the hypothesis because it was not the same. 5.I learned that a truck can take up the most space in the water. 6.The problem I had was filling up the water at the exact spot every time and the error was the water spilled a couple times.What I will do differently is not try to spill the water.
