2. Conjunctions are connecting words
The most common conjunctions are and, but, and or
These are called coordinating conjunctions.

3. Correlative conjunctions
Some conjunctions are used in pairs, these are called “correlative conjunctions”. These make even stronger connections than coordinating conjunctions.
Both… and
Neither… nor
Either… or
Whether... or
