Results of probabilistic sensitivity analyses with 95% confidence ellipse. Incremental cost = cost of daily application minus cost of discretionary application (mean per person); incremental cancers prevented = cancers in the discretionary group minus those in the daily-sunscreen group. The 95% confidence ellipse is based on 5,000 Monte Carlo simulations with binomial distributions assigned for skin cancers prevented, gamma distributions for cost variables, and normal distribution for positive predictor value estimates.
