2. Mission Statement and Goals
The Arizona Central Chapter of RIMS exists:
To foster a diverse and highly skilled culture for the advancement of the Arizona Risk Management Profession to our members, students and business community through educational development, resources and networking opportunities.

5. RIMS and AII - Scholarship Foundation Establishment
2018 RIMS enters into a strategic partnership with AII.
Mission: In support of the RIMS Mission and the initiative for the development of Risk Management and Insurance educational resources in Arizona – RIMS (in connection with AII) will provide seed money for the establishment of a Scholarship Program for the pursuit of the Risk Management Discipline in Arizona.
Reason: To cultivate and grow our discipline right here in Arizona (and ultimately in support of Arizona Workforce Development.)
Details: Program, board selection and recipient criteria are in the early development stages.
We have contacted and engaged a number of individuals to assist with establishment of the program; there will be more details as the program develops. We will keep the Chapter apprised as we progress.

8. Aaron Howes Aaron Howes Vice President – Risk Management and Insurance
Aaron Howes, Vice President – Risk Management and Insurance, joined Expeditors International of Washington, Inc., in The first six years with Expeditors were spent in logistics operations and quality control. In 2001, Mr. Howes joined the Risk Management department and has been responsible for the design and operation of Expeditors' worldwide insurance programs.  
In addition to being the Risk Manager for Expeditors, Mr. Howes is responsible for the management and expansion of Expeditors Cargo Insurance Brokers Inc. (ECIB).
ECIB is a specialty insurance service organization that provides customers with cargo insurance, claims management and loss control service tailored to each client’s unique supply chain.
Mr. Howes graduated from Queen’s University at Kingston with a degree in Economics. He is also a 2011 graduate of the Executive Leadership Program at Seattle University.
