10 Step 1: As you read the passage slowly and carefully, look for the main idea and supporting details.

11 Step 2: Consider every answer choice. Eliminate choices that:
restate a single detail from the passage make a very general statement with no supporting details have little or nothing to do with the passage

12 Step 3: Be sure the answer you choose seems to cover the entire passage, including the main idea and supporting details.
