Genotype distance distribution summaries for soft and hard sweeps. We simulated sweeps under constant population size with moderately strong selection (), in which the fixation of the beneficial allele happened immediately prior to sampling (i.e., ). The relative magnitude of the variance, skew, and kurtosis of the distribution of pairwise genotype distances, across sub-windows of a larger simulated region is shown for soft and hard sweeps respectively.
