Open Awards Pupils in Opals will undertake 4 art projects from the Open Awards at entry level 1 or 2 to achieve a Certificate in Art & Design. Pupils look at artist, try different techniques and make a final piece for each project, recording evidence in a sketch book.

AQA GCSE Art The GCSE course is a 2 year course.
Students learn about different artists, learn new techniques and learn how to develop their ideas and responses to the work of others. They make a final piece for each project. A gallery visit is a necessary part of the course. Students undertake 2 projects as course work. Then a final project with titles chosen from an exam paper from the exam board, ending with 10 hours to produce a final art piece.
