Were once believed to be non-photosynthetic plants Examples: mushrooms, mold, yeast, mildew Mostly multicellular (made of more than one cell) Yeast in unicellular

3 Fungi Decomposers: rely on other organisms for food.
The “great decomposers” Hyphae: allows them to anchor to whatever they are decomposing.

4 Fungi Have cell walls composed of chitin.
