2 Meech Lake Accord New Constitutional Agreement is being made.
First Nations people want the new constitution to include First Nation Sovereignty. This is one of the main reasons the provinces will not agree

4 What is the Oka Crisis about?
City of Oka wants to expand the Golf course. In order to do this it must expand further into Mohawk territory. The Mohawk have claimed the land (specific land claim)

7 Royal Commission on Aboriginal Peoples (RCAP)
Long study to find out what the government should do for the First nation. First Nation sovereignty is recognized First Nations have their own parliament. First Nations are given more territory. First Nations be given control of resources Royal Proclamation is restated. First Nations be in charge of their own education. ETC. ETC. ETC.

8 RCAP Continued The report is over 4000 pages and over 400 recommendations. Was supposed to be implemented in 20 years. 2 years left and less than ten recommendations have been accepted.
