3 What is DOD SkillBridge?
Local program allowing service members to gain civilian job skill training Offers high probability of employment No cost associated; will not use GI BILL Does not pay wages to service members

4 Who can participate? Must have served 180 days on active duty
Honorable or General Discharge ONLY Must have enough time on contract to complete program prior to separation

5 Additional Requirements
Passing PFA Eligible for promotion/advancement Attended ethics brief within 1 year from start date Complete TGPS requirements Not a previous participant

7 Additional Information
Command approval is MANDATORY Training programs vary per location Civilian program must be vetted by DOD to be apart of SkillBridge Note: Service member can participate with any company not vetted by DOD with command approval

8 Registration TGPS classroom have SkillBridge Binders Go to FFSC
Contact businesses directly (after receiving Command Approval)

9 REVIEW AD1 Keys has been Active Duty for 2 years. He wants to sign up for a SkillBridge program starting in 1 month. Is he eligible to participate in the program? BM3 Jones separates in 200 days with an Honorable Discharge and wants to sign up for a 3 week training with Marriot. Is he eligible? How would he register if eligible. Work4Us is not vetted through SkillBridge and is offering industry training for service members who are eligible to us their GI Bill. Should you as a NC allow sailors to register with this employer?
