Lets walk through the key features of this service:
Microsoft Azure RemoteApp is currently in preview and is provided at no additional cost during the preview period. We would like to see our customers using this service and providing us feedback.
Currently the server version supported for the sessions is Windows Server 2012 R2.
At preview, Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2013 is installed as a part of the Azure RemoteApp service. No other Microsoft Office version is provided or supported.
You can bring your own applications to Azure RemoteApp by choosing the Hybrid Deployment option. The ability to do this with the Cloud Deployment scenario is coming soon.
Although optional you can utilize On-premises Active Directory and create a virtual network connection.
We provide 50GB of storage for each user.
The service is going to be available in most of Azure regions: US West, US East, Europe West, Europe North, Asia Pacific East and Asia Pacific SouthEast.
