Objective: students will learn how to properly use the distributive property.

2. Definitions
Equivalent numerical expression: both sides of equation are equal.
Ex: = 2 + 7
9 = 9
Distributive Property: distribute number outside parenthesis by every number inside.
Ex: 4(5 + 7)
4(5) + 4(7)
= 48
