Varahamihira C.E Popular Astronomer, Mathematician and astrologer.6th C.E Scientist. son of Adityadasa. Born at Kapitha in Avanthi Desa or Malwa. He studied astronomy from his father who was an Astronomer Siddhantas - earliest astronomical greek works He concentrated five Siddhantas like Paulsia Siddhanta, Romaka Siddhanta, Vasishtha Siddhanta, Saura Siddhanta and Paitamalia Siddhanta into a single work called 'Pancha Siddantika' one of the nine gems in the court of king Vikaramaditya in Avanti (Ujjain) modern Malwa region.

His famous works Pancasiddantika, Brhajjataka Vivahapatala, Yogayatra, Brhadyatra and Brhat samhita. Panca siddahatika had eighteen chapters his astrological work 'Brhajjataka' which followed most of the words from Greek origin. Brhajjataka called as Horasastra in 26 chapters which include 384 slokas. Vivaha patala mainly focused on martial horoscopy.

Brahat samhita mainly deals about movements of planets, eclipses, rainfall etc.
he proposed that the moon and planets are lustrous not because of their own light but due to sunlight. He stated that the moon rotated round the sun. he used more number of greek words to explain the movements of the planets.

Dhanvantri He considered as God of Medicine Ayurveda developed by Dhanvantri Ayurveda (knowledge of longevity) was based on theory of five natural elements earth, water, fire, air and ether or space.

Sushruta (2nd C. C.E) he learnt medicine and surgery from Divodasa Dhanvantri at Varanasi. Father of plastic surgery his great work 'Sushruta Samhita' deals about pathology (study of diseases) anatomy, embryology (study about the development of Ovum), toxicology (study of Poison). States that the human body has 360 bones, 210 joins and 500 muscles.
