Godly attitudes

2. In our previous lesson:
We CANNOT tolerate sin!
Not everyone is going to agree with us
Not everyone will treat you in a godly way!
In a sense, we must let the world be the world!

3. Godly attitudes:
STAND UP for what is right!
Be courageous – 1 Cor. 16:13, Rev. 2:10, Matt. 10:28
Eph. 6:13-14 – put on “the gospel armor”

4. Godly attitudes:
In the name of tolerance do NOT:
Compromise the truth!
Ignore issues
Retaliate

5. Godly attitudes:
Realize the difference between sin and the sinner
Different people treated differently, Cf. 1 Cor. 5:9-11, 2 Thess. 3:14-15

6. Godly attitudes:
Realize the eternal destiny of the soul 1 Cor. 6:9, Rev. 21:8, Gal. 5:19-21
What is our goal? 2 Cor. 5:11, 1 Cor. 9:19-23, 10:32-33 Matt. 20:26-28

7. Godly attitudes:
Matthew 10:16
BE wise as serpents, but harmless as doves! Col. 4:5-6 – speech seasoned with salt!

8. Godly attitudes:
Ephesians 4:1-2
Walk worthy of your calling – lowliness, gentleness, longsuffering, etc. May we seek this attitude both with brethren and those of the world!

Matthew 7:12
“The golden rule” How would you want to be treated if “the shoe were on the other foot”?

10. Godly attitudes:
1 Pet. 3:8-12
Our demeanor that should always be present

11. Godly attitudes:
Romans 12:18-21
Live peaceably with man and let God deal with the vengeance!

12. Sinful behavior does NOT justify a hateful response!

13. Let us stand with God and those who stand with Him!
