2. Emic (Native P.O.V) Based on native peoples’ ideology
Their perspective on the world
How they “categorize” the world
Where their way of lifestyle is derived from
What things in the world hold meaning for them
Their point of view is based on the culture boundaries

3. Etic (Observer’s P.O.V)
Focuses on the anthropologists perspective on the natives
Approaches the cultural boundaries
its too involved in their culture to actually separate and understand them with out bias
They focus on the information that they find important
The anthropologist is supposed to analyze their behaviour and culture with out any bias (training is given)
They are humans and are also carry a culture of their own that compresses their beliefs and morality
To describe and interpret a certain culture the anthropologist must realize that they must be unbiased
