Constructing a triangle
given two sides and one angle

2. Construct triangle ABC when 𝐴𝐵 = 10cm, 𝐴 𝐵 𝐶=50° and B𝐶 =5cm
Example
Construct triangle ABC when 𝐴𝐵 = 10cm, 𝐴 𝐵 𝐶=50° and B𝐶 =5cm
Measure and write down the size of angle ABC C
Step 1 draw the line AB = 10cm
Step 2 place the protractor onto B and measure 50 degrees
Step 3 setting your compasses to 5cm place them on point B and draw another arc which intersects the line drawn
The point of intersection is point C
The triangle is completed by drawing lines from C to A and C to B A B

3. Construct triangle LMN when 𝐿𝑀=6.5cm, L 𝑀 𝑁=125° and MN =7cm
