1 Geography Fieldwork Skills
Part 4 – Evaluation and Analysis LO – to develop key geographical skills for GCSE, further education and the workplace. Success Criteria To identify points to be included in an evaluation and to complete evaluation of the fieldwork enquiry. To analyse your data and form a conclusion to answer your enquiry question. To complete a RAG Skills sheet and consider your next steps to improve skills.

3 Task 1 What do the data presentations tell you?
This is the time to look at your data presentations. Task 1 What do the data presentations tell you? Analysis - Answer the questions in your booklet using full sentences. Refer to your data presentation and give details. What does your environmental survey suggest? My environmental survey shows me that people have a [positive/negative] impact on the environment at Jubilee Park Lake. It also shows that…..(write about the data from each site) What does your litter count suggest in relation to your question? The most litter was found at…….. This might be because….. The least amount of litter was found at….. Overall, the litter count tells me that environmental quality is…. What does your data, as a whole, tell you about your hypothesis? Using my environmental quality survey, litter count, pedestrian count and field sketches I can say that Hypothesis 1 is……[correct/incorrect] because… Hypothesis 2 is [true/untrue] because…… What do your field sketches tell you? My field sketches help me to……. This is useful because……

4 Your conclusion is a summary of your results.
Task 2 This is where you answer your enquiry question and hypothesis. Conclusion - Answer your enquiry question and whether your hypothesis are correct. (2 paragraphs) In conclusion, I can say that….. Hypothesis 1 is …….. Hypothesis 2 is …….

5 Evaluate the method, results and conclusion of your enquiry.
Evaluation This is the time to review the work you have done. What were the strengths, weaknesses and improvements needed for each section of the enquiry. Task 3 Evaluate the method, results and conclusion of your enquiry.

6 Self-Assessment Use the self assessment grid to RAG Rate where you feel you are now that you have completed the investigation.
