Jigsaw Grouping Get into your expert groups.
Discuss the facts of the case assigned to your group. Discuss the opinion handed down by the Supreme Court. Now move into groups where there is at least one person from every expert group present. Ex. 1 Miranda expert, 1 Mapp expert, 1 Gideon expert, etc… Teach your new group members the facts and opinion of the case you discussed in the last group.

Design of the armbands worn by John and Mary Beth.
Tinker v. Des Moines (1969) John and Mary Beth Tinker wore black armbands to their public school as a sign of their stance against the United States being involved in the Vietnam War. Their school asked them to remove their armbands. The Tinkers refused and were suspended. Should symbols (what a person wears, hairstyles, tattoos, etc.) be considered ‘free speech’ as established in the First Amendment? Design of the armbands worn by John and Mary Beth.
