YEAR 6 CLASSROOM BEHAVIOUR
We treat others as they want to be treated, and show respect. We listen when our teacher is talking and always listen to other people’s ideas. In whole class learning time we put our hand up to ask questions and to contribute without calling out. We make sure we help other people to learn. We are considerate when entering and exiting the classroom and always give consideration to other peoples personal space. When we solve problems in our classroom we talk it over or ask the teacher to help.

What do you notice about the numerator and denominator of the fraction? What do we call a fraction where the numerator is greater than the denominator? An improper fraction We can convert it into a mixed number. What would it be? 1 1 2

We can think of the line in the middle of a fraction as telling us to divide.
So 9 ÷ 4 can also be written as 9 4 2 1 4 So 9 ÷ 4, and are equivalent
