The meerkat lives in the southern part of Africa. As you can see in the picture. The climate is dry. Africa doesn’t get much rain so the meerkat gets its fluids by the fruit and things it eats.

The size of an average adult meerkat is inches without their tail.

The meerkat is a carnivore. It eats lizards, snails, scorpions, small birds, rodents, insects, grubs, bird eggs, roots and tubers.
