How is a burial chamber like a tomb?
Get Ready to Read Amazing Words Burial chambers – Yesterday we learned that pharaohs were buried in tombs along with many of their possessions. Burial Chambers were built for them. Burial chambers are rooms within larger structures, containing the bodies of those who have died. How is a burial chamber like a tomb? If you were going to be buried in a burial chamber, which of your possessions would you want buried with you? Why? Sarcophagus – a stone burial chamber The Egyptian sarcophagus was beautifully decorated. What kinds of items might be found in an ancient Egyptian sarcophagus? Tributary – a stream or river that flows into a larger river. The Ohio River is a tributary of the Mississippi River. What are some other tributaries?
