Neptune is a cold, blue planet.

Neptune’s atmosphere contains visible clouds.
The color of this planet comes from methane in the atmosphere.

Neptune’s interior is hot due to energy left over from its formation.
As this energy rises, it produces clouds and storms in the atmosphere!

Astronomers have discovered at least 13 moons orbiting Neptune.

It’s made of mostly gas and liquids.

In 1989, Voyager flew by Neptune and took pictures of a great dark spot about the size of Earth.
