Nickname: Pyramid Age Pharaoh's tombs were pyramids Great Pyramid at Giza built Famous Pharaohs: Narmer, Khufu Other info: Great Pyramid built by Khufu (size of 9 football fields, tall as a 48 story building) Decline: Pharaoh’s lost control and there were battles for 200 years

Middle Kingdom Time: 2050 B.C. – 1670 B.C. Capital: Thebes
Nickname: Golden Age Trade, art, and literature grew. Buried: hidden tombs known as the Valley of the Kings. Other info: Took control of more lands and had people send tributes or payments to them. Decline: people known as Hyksos took over and ruled for 150 years.

New Kingdom Time 1550 B.C. – 1080 B.C. Capital: Thebes
Nickname: Expansion Age Expanded to get more land, stronger military, world power Buried in: Valley of the Kings Famous Pharaohs: Hatshepsut, Thutmose, and King Tutankhamen Other info: During this time Egypt was the best. Decline: taken over by the people of Kush
