Plot Map [IN 4] Somebody Who is the protagonist?
Wanted What does the protagonist want, or what is the protagonist’s goal? But What is conflict in the story, or what is keeping the protagonist from his or her goal? So How is the conflict resolved, or how does the protagonist reach his or her goal? Then… What is the story’s denouement, or how does the story end?

SWBST Summary Cinderella wanted to go to the ball, but her evil stepmother wouldn’t allow her to go, so her fairy godmother showed up and used magic to give her a dress, shoes, and a carriage so she could go. Then…she met the Prince, they fell in love, and lived happily ever after.

Point of View [in 6] Narrator: The voice telling a story.
Point of View: Vantage point from which a writer tells a story. First-Person: narrator is one of the characters, limited to what they know Second Person: narrator addresses you, uncommon in literature Third-Person Limited: narrator focuses on thoughts/feelings of one character, not in the story Third-Person Omniscient: narrator knows everything about everyone, not in the story
