Ephesians 4:13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:

To take the believer to the nations of the world The mission is much bigger than ourselves The focus of discipleship must be outward “The final goal of biblical discipleship is going, not knowing”

Col. 3:1-2 If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.

To take the believer to the nations of the world “The Lord has a world vision, we have a limited vision. The more we resemble Him, the greater our vision will be”

A. One who is equipped to teach • Gift to teach • Apt to teach

One who is living what he teaches • It’s more than being equipped to teach • It’s reproducing who we are in Christ

III. We Must Know Who We Are To Disciple
Those who want to become disciples of Christ • The Lord desires all believers to follow him

Col. 1:28 Whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus:

Those who want to become disciples of Christ “Many want to be discipled, but few want to be disciples of Christ”

Those who want to participate in his mission • We are forming an army of soldiers to impact the world for Christ • We form that army with those who desire to follow Christ to the nations

Establish a clear structure • Taking the believer from the cradle to the field

B. Rest in the structure • Understanding that discipleship works • Understanding that Christ, through discipleship, will take your church to the nations

1Corinthians 15:58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.
