Strengths & Weaknesses
Kemp continues to outperform the Cobb County School District in its CCRPI score. Our administration prides itself on this distinguished honor. Currently, our administration is researching all CCRPI components to find out why it dropped three points in two years. Part of their recent findings are students’ reports on school climate that may have been misinterpreted. With the switch from CRCT to GA Milestones, some trends are still apparent, though focus needs to remain constant on math and reading support for diverse learners and SWD. Kemp continues to investigate how to promote all students that meet or are proficient to exceeds or distinguished.

Discussion Questions What reading strategies were in place during the last two years of the CRCT administration? How can African-American students be better served and supported in ELA GA Milestone prep? Are there any new services that can support our SWD population? How can we better meet the needs of our Latino/a population? Can the ESOL teacher have better communication with Latino/a parents regarding GA Milestones?
