R states “Ball’s Away” slowly. If the passer is hit afterwards it is roughing the passer.
When the ball is controlled in the passer’s hand & his arm is moving forward when he is tackled, rule incomplete pass, if the ball becomes loose.

When there are tangled feet & both players are looking back at ball.

Defender puts hand on receiver, but does not turn, twist, pull or push.

Early Not Playing the Ball Contact by a defender.
Play through the Back of a receiver.
Grab & Restrict a receiver’s arm or body.
Extending an arm across the body (Arm Bar) of the reciever.
Cut off or riding the receiver out of the path of the ball.

Hook & Restrict a receiver in attempt to get to the ball.
Face Guarding is the only non contact DPI foul.

Creating Separation by initiating contact with a defender by shoving or pushing off in an attempt to catch a pass.
Driving Thru a defender who has position.
Pick Play: A receiver blocking a defender downfield.

Contact with the helmet in an attempt to punish is a foul & may result in a DQ.
A player chasing the runner who is legally blocked is not a defenseless player if he is with yards of the runner.
Forceful contact with an arm, shoulder or helmet on a player above the shoulders is a personal foul for targeting & may result in a DQ.

16. If a runner’s helmet comes off the ball is dead.

When a pass is thrown clearly over the receiver’s outstretched arms & he relaxes. he now becomes a defenseless player.
If a runner’s helmet comes off the ball is dead.
A 5 yard facemask is rare, but can be called. Most of these fouls are 15 yards.
If action is deemed “fighting” then player must be DQ.
