If you are arrested for yelling “Fire!” in a crowded movie theater, is your right to freedom of speech being violated? NO – since your actions may cause a panic where people may get injured. If a school principal searches your book bag without a search warrant, is that a violation of your 4th Amendment rights? NO, if the principal has a reasonable suspicion that school safety is at issue.
