When you enter the room, immediately copy your agenda and objectives Agenda: Agenda / Objectives/ Handout new reading schedule The Big Dignity Gallery: Read Chapters Character Sketch: Show format Exit Note. Objectives: I will… develop life-long reading skills. Collaborate, create, and visually represent character perspectives on dignity. Cite quotations from the text. Connect personally to great American literature.

2 The BIG Dignity Gallery:
Share Quotes with class and cite peers page numbers. I will assign you into a group of four. I will assign your group a character (Miss Maudie, Atticus, Jem, Scout, Boo Radley). Use magazines and crayons to create a collage of images that represent your characters perspective on dignity. Your group will have 20 minutes to complete the collage. This includes set-up and clean-up time, so I encourage you to work diligently.

3 The Big Dignity Gallery
Quietly and individually write a paragraph explaining your group’s choices and how your images represent your character’s perspective of dignity. Please cite one of your quotes that informed your decision.

4 The Big Dignity Gallery
1. Your groups will now have two minutes to prepare to share your collage. Decide who will share on what image. Please consider who feels most comfortable sharing on each image. Perhaps an image the group member chose will work best. 2. Your group will bring it up to the projector and display your work. Everyone must speak at least once. Explain your choices. 3. Self and Group Evaluation
