Arctic and North West Region
The Inuit [Eskimos] have inhabited the region.
Lived by hunting and fishing
Kwakiutl, Nootka and Haida Peoples lived along the pacific coast of Southern Alaska to Northern California.
They collected shell fish and hunted whales and seals.
Kwakiutl is especially known for Potlaches.

Eastern Woodlands: the Iroquois
Lived in modern NY, PA and Southern Canada
They had villages composed of longhouses
Hunting and gathering were their main economic activities
A total of five groups formed the league through a Great Peace – achieved through the efforts of Deganawida and Hiwatha.

The area included New Mexico, Arizona, Utah and Colorado.
Anasazi People established a farming society.
They used irrigation to grow crops in the desert.
They lived in pueblos made of adobes.
Pueblo Bonito and Mesa Verde were centers of their civilization.
