Topic: From A to B (Transport through History)
This term as part of our Creative Curriculum: According to the IPC this unit gives the children a chance to learn about transport and travel. They will find out how they travel to school, about different modes of transport in the past, how to create their own futurist painting to capture the speed and movement of transport, how to make their own sail boats and aeroplanes, how to make a 'vehicle' to transport a small toy, about the sounds different modes of transport make, how to cross roads safely and how children around the world travel to school. Friday and expect Homework back on Wednesday Our value this term is: Integrity Physical Education (PE) and Yoga: We have PE on Friday and Yoga on Thursdays Please make sure your child has the correct PE kit as shown our our school website and that all kit is clearly labeled.

Exploring different types of animals Sorting and grouping animals, Keeping animals as pets . Children learn more about the basic needs of animals. Children will identify and name, look closely at and compare and contrast many different animals. They will work scientifically by making careful observations, gathering and recording data to help them to answer questions. Creative Curriculum History:- Pupils will develop knowledge about the world, the United Kingdom and their locality. They should understand basic subject specific vocabulary relating to human and physical geography and begin to use geographical skills, including first-hand observation, to enhance their locational awareness. Use world maps, atlases and globes to identify the United Kingdom and its countries, as well as the countries, continents and oceans studied at this key stage.
