Rocks’ various resistances to weathering and erosion will create various drainage patterns
You must recognize all 4
Trellis/block/rectangular
Dendritic (“tree like”)
Radial (like radius or radial tires)
Annular

2. Trellis or Block/Rectangular Drainage: occurs on folded landscapes (think folded landscape of Pennsylvania)

3. Dendritic Drainage: occurs on rolling, flat landscapes…think of the mid-west and the Mississippi River

4. Radial Drainage: occurs on domed or rounded mountains and hills.

5. Annular Drainage: occurs on weathered domed mountains and hills.
