Characteristics of the Tippett plot. The plot shows the cumulative distributions of Pr(E|Hp) and Pr(E|Hd) and illustrates the performance parameters that can be measured. Note that it is the height of the curves at the point LR=1 that give us the probability information relating to Type I and Type II errors. The areas are coloured for illustration purposes only.
